During her time at Ohio State she performed in works by Dianne McyIntire, Tine Salling, and Melanie Bales. She began her training in Cleveland, Ohio under the direction of Shaker Dance Academy's Tracey and Jonathan Webb, who had both formally worked in the commercial dance industry, dancing and choreographing for James Brown, Whitney Houston, and Prince. She attended conventions and intensives including the MLTour Chicago and Dana Foglia's Winter Intensive. She has trained in styles including contemporary, modern, hip hop, house, jazz, West African and ballet. Miss Kogan hopes to fuse elements within these genres of dance to create work that can appeal to a variety of audiences.
