Kimberly Isaacs

BA in Arts Management- The Ohio State University)

 

Kimberly began dancing at the age of four at Bellbrook Dance Academy in Bellbrook, Ohio. There, she studied Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tumbling, Tap, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, and competed in numerous dance competitions for 13 years. She continued her dance training at Stivers School for the Arts from seventh to twelfth grade where she was trained in Modern, African, Ballet, Pointe, Improvisation, Choreography, and Repertory under DeShona Pepper Robertson. She studied and participated in summer intensives at Pontecorvo Ballet Studios and the Dayton Arts Summer Intensive throughout High School. Kimberly is honored to have received The Jeraldyne Blunden Award in 2011 from Stivers Dance Department. In the summer of 2011, she participated in research at Wright Patterson Air Force Base concerning the combination of arts and technology in the Human Effectiveness Directorate of the Air Force in a project titled “TechArts.” She has received professional training from Deeply Rooted Dance Theatre of Chicago in their Intensive and attends The Ohio State University pursuing a dual-degree in Dance and Arts Management. Kimberly has choreographed works showcased in OSU’s Spring and Winter student concerts, and has performed works by choreographers such as Rodney Brown, Abby Zbikowski, and Tine Salling. She currently teaches dance in the Columbus and Dayton areas, and choreographs for competition and concert pieces. She has interned with The Brown Dance Project and OhioDance, and is excited to perform with Seven Dance Company of Columbus in the upcoming season.
