Ca'la Henderson

 

 Ca’la Henderson began her dance training under DaNine Ward at Lift-Him Ministries School in Cleveland, Ohio and later attended Cleveland School of the Arts under the direction of Terence Greene. As a scholarship student, she trained at Jeraldyne’s School of Dance in Dayton, OH, Jones Summer Dance Intensive in Pittsburgh, PA, and at The Ailey School in New York, NY. During high school at Cleveland School of the Arts, under the direction of Terence Greene she was given the opportunity to be in the Urban Dance Collective, the school’s dance ensemble where she performed throughout the United States including The Association of Blacks in Dance Conference. She has performed works by choreographers Tyrell Rolle, DeShona Pepper-Robinson, Crystal Frazier, Bebe Miller, Terence Greene, Michael Medaclf, Melanie Bales and Catherine Turocy, Susan Hadley, Tommie Waheed-Evans, Antonio Brown, Christopher Huggins, and Tine Salling. She has had the opportunity to intern with Verb Ballets in Cleveland, OH while currently teaching and performing at The Nehemiah Project. Currently, Ca’la is a senior, BFA Candidate in Dance on full academic scholarship at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
